U.S. Border Patrol attempt to conduct a traffic stop results in a pursuit and 4 IA's fleeing on foot

On 06/23/22 at around 2:20 A.M., U.S. Border Patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop in front of the Valero in Rocksprings but the driver refused to stop.

After a short pursuit through town the vehicle crashed into a tree at Bandera and Pepper Street behind the Border Patrol Station. One IA was immediately taken into custody as four more IA's fled on foot.

The Edwards County Sheriff's Office would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant, lock your doors and report any suspicious persons by calling 830-683-4104.
