Three arrested for Narcotics and Weapon Violations

On Tuesday, February 23.2016, The Edwards County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant for weapons at 300 blk of W. Val Verde Street in Rocksprings Texas. As Deputies entered the residence and confronted the suspects, a quantity of narcotics were discovered in plain view.

Deputies stopped the search and obtained another search warrant for narcotics and then both searches were carried out. Located inside the mobile home were two loaded handguns. One of the individuals was a felon and was recently released from prison, thus being considered a felon in possession of a firearm.

Further search of the home produces a large quantity of methamphetamines, marijuana and paraphernalia. The methamphetamines, 22.5 grams, uncut, holds a street value of about $5000.00. The marijuana, 1.4 oz. is considered a user's amount of narcotics, but there was many items of paraphernalia that would lead one to believe that this location is being used for not even trafficking but also a Drug House. Paraphernalia includes rolling papers, several meth pipes for smoking Methamphetamines and syringes used for intravenous narcotic use.

Sheriff Pamela Elliott stated that this location was being watched closely due to the numerous complaints and the time to make the move on the house was precisely planned. "This location was a major trafficking location and now it is shut down", Sheriff Elliott said.
