Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden attempted to make a vehicle stop which resulted in a pursuit.

On 11/07/22 at around 3:30 P.M., Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden attempted to make a vehicle stop at the Post Office in Rocksprings.


The vehicle fled between the Post Office and the Bank and went back north towards Main Street and then turned back south on Nueces Street. The vehicle eventually ended up on HWY 377 where it continued north out of town pursued by Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden, Texas DPS Troopers, and Edwards County Sheriff's Deputies.
The vehicle turned onto HWY 41 and proceeded to IH 10 avoiding numerous spike attempts along the way, while reaching speeds of up to 104 MPH.


The vehicle finally wrecked out around IH 10 MM 512, at the rest area east of Kerrville. By this time the Kerr County Sheriff's Office and the Kerr County Constable's Office had also become involved in the pursuit.


The U.S. Citizen driver was charged with fleeing while smuggling a person and the U.S. Citizen passenger was charged with smuggling. The 6 IA's were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
