SHERIFF'S OFFICE SEEKS ASSISTANCE ON TWO RECENT CASES
On 08/08/2016, The Edwards County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Rocksprings High School to contact a Complainant about a broken rear windshield. Upon arrival, Deputies met with Norma Vasquez and Vasquez stated that someone, without consent broke her back windshield. It appeared that the windshield was either struck with small rocks, ie; car peeling out or possibly a BB gun. The damage that was observed could not assist in determine exactly what caused the damage, only speculation. At this time it is undetermined whether the incident was either accidental or intentional.
Vasquez parked the vehicle where there was no video surveillance. There were no witnesses that came forward at this time. All parties that were present at the location saw nothing.
Sheriff Elliott is seeking information on the incident and is asking if anyone may have witnessed the vehicle being damaged.
On August 9, 2016, a forced entry of a residence occurred in the 500 Blk of S. Sweeten Street in Rocksprings Texas. The door had been kicked in to the residence but nothing appeared to be taken. Sheriff Elliott is seeking information from the Public regarding this incident. At this time there are no witnesses, thus there are no suspects.
Sheriff Elliott is asking the public if anyone witnessed this incident to come forward so that the case can be pursued further.
