The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to inform the citizens of Edwards County that Deputy Sergeant Jason Reed has resigned his position. Jason has accepted a position with Reeves County Sheriff’s Office in Pecos, Texas. His wife Mirna was first offered a job with Pecos Barstow ISD as a High School Spanish Teacher, her passion in her life. Jason states that this move also saddens him because he was raised in Edwards County and still cares for the people of the community.

The move is welcomed by the Reeds as an improvement in their family’s quality of life, and will benefit their family greatly. We at The Sheriff’s Office wishes them well on their new endeavor
